OSI Optoelectronics is seeking a Materials Expeditor to join their team. This individual will be responsible for setting and changing production schedules which maximize output of shipping revenue while maintaining on time delivery.

• Responsible for moving material to and from the production floor in line with production planners expectations and production line requirements.
• Acts as liaison between production floor and operations.
• Maintains production status of scheduled assemblies.
• Reviews material constraints with production planning and purchasing.
• Facilitates and expedites the flow of materials to and from various departments.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Works under general supervision.
• Ability to read and understand specification documents.
• Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
• Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
• It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
• Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 years of experience in an Expeditor or similar role required.
• Knowledge of automated scheduling programs.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook) and report writing.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to calculate simple Math (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division).
• Ability to count large and small components accurately.
• Ability to use Electronic scale for weight counting, Reel counter, Personal computer, Hand truck, Material carts, Pallet Jack.
• Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in the business language (English).
• Non telecommuting position; must have a physical presence in the production area on a daily and ongoing basis
