What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer position at OSI USA Danvers?
- You will be developing and maintaining software applications specifically designed to control and optimize complex manufacturing processes in a Smart Factory environment. These solutions will require you to integrate real-time data from business systems, factory systems, control systems, and industrial devices. You will be pulling data from many different data sources, so you should be proficient with back-end technologies, such as OPC and other communication protocols, including SNMP, ODBC, OData, web services, and other REST-compliant systems.
- You will be working in an "always on" environment - your solutions will have to continue humming along all hours of the day and night. Experience with management, administration, and maintenance of highly reliable systems is a must.

Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3 Years of experience in designing, creating, and maintaining reliable systems
- Experience with ThingWorx, Python, Django, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SQL SSIS, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Power BI, C#, .Net, and Entity Framework.
- Knowledge of hardware interfacing and IP networking is a must.
- Experience in industrial IoT platforms, including PTC ThingWorx, is a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Understanding of UI/UX design concepts is important.
