What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at OSM Worldwide?
Job Summary
The Operations Associate is responsible for assisting the sorting facility operations and performing entry level warehouse and dock-related tasks, sorting and processing mail, loading and unloading trucks, moving pallet containers, and other tasks as assigned. Operations Associates will rotate within different positions in the Operations based on daily/weekly needs.
Job Duties
Below is a listing of the job functions this position performs.
· Mail processing duties to include:
o Scan each parcel’s barcode, if applicable, to register parcel into Osmart system.
o Weigh each individual parcel to ensure accurate shipping costs.
o Place OSM label in proper location on the parcel.
o Assist in setting up the correct shipping profile in the Osmart system for mail project.
o Perform basic troubleshooting on hardware and software as needed.
o Target to process a minimum of 450 parcels per hour.
· Mail sorting duties to include:
o Monitor sort machine moving containers as they reach max capacity.
o Space parcels on the sort machine belt to ensure parcels are processed correctly.
o Ensure parcels are placed into correct containers.
o Use pallet jack to move containers once filled to sort machine for machine sort.
o Set up and repair sorting containers.
o As needed, participate in fixing parcels that contain a processing or sorting error.
· Notify Operations Lead, Supervisor, or Manager of any issues with parcels or Osmart system.
· Conduct basic quality checks to ensure mail projects are properly processed.
· Review parcels for damages. Notify Operations Lead of damaged parcels.
· Have working knowledge of each USPS mail classes.
· Manifest mail prior to sending mail outbound for delivery.
· Follow all safety policies and practices.
· Safeguard customer sensitive information.
· Follow OSM security protocols and guidelines.
· Complete all required security and cyber training annually.
· Assist other areas of the Operations Department as needed.

Required Education and Experience
· High school education or equivalent.
· Previous experience working in a distribution center a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
This position works in a distribution center that has variable temperatures. The distribution center can have high noise volume which includes machines operating and music.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift and walk with packages frequently weighing 10 lbs. and occasionally weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to reach and move small parcels frequently weighing 5 lbs. Must be able to operate a computer. Must be able to perform visual inspections of parcels. Must be able to operate a forklift. Must be able to push/pull pallet jacks frequently weighing 40 lbs. and occasionally weighing up to 70 lbs.
