What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electric Underground Attendant position at Osmose Utility Services Inc?
Summary: Assists Foreman with inspection of underground electrical service box and manhole structures. Assemble safety set up around structures to safely maneuver traffic and pedestrians around worksite. Keep work area free of clutter. Responsible for foreman’s safety while in the structure and ensure foreman has what he needs to complete inspections. Follow all safety procedures and wear all required PPE.
Requirements:
· Must be 18 years or older
· Clean driving history (Not required but preferred)
· Organized
o Keep track of several different safety devices that must be inspected on a regular basis
o Keep vehicle in orderly fashion
o Fill out all necessary paperwork for documentation
· Highly motivated and driven
· Promote and enforce safety by participating in job briefings at each location, attend weekly safety meeting to ensure safe work practices are followed, monitoring and maintaining tool condition.
· Maintain good customer and public relations by maintaining a professional appearance, being courteous, and communicating in a clear, respectful manner
· Properly maintain all vehicles, equipment, and tools used by the crew
· Work a minimum 40 hours per week
· Work in outdoor environmental conditions
· Able to lift up to 40lbs and perform all job tasks
Training: Will be provided if needed
· Osha Construction 10 hr – Annually
· First Aid/CPR/AED – Every 2 years
· Enclosed Space Training
Compensation: $19/hr weekly bonus
