We are currently seeking a General Laborer to join our team in Perry, Iowa. This position will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day duties of the production lines, including various manual labor tasks. In addition to day-to-day production line tasks. General Laborers may be asked to sweep or clean the shop floors, assemble cardboard boxes, move materials and supplies, as well as other tasks to support operations on the shop floor as assigned by the shift Supervisor for Osmundson Mfg. Co.
- Participates in the completion of the following Production Processes: setups, line runs, paint and pack, general warehousing, cleaning, basic quality control, operating equipment as required, assisting other departments as requested
- Monitors Company safety under the direction of the Supervisor
- Provide support to the Production Line Lead to keep employees informed on those matters that affect the successful performance of their jobs as it relates to quality
- Ensures that all activity related to this role is accomplished ethically
- Maintains in good order, all records and files assigned to this function and ensures the safekeeping and confidentiality of all company records including computer information
- Maintains the working area in a neat, orderly, and hazard-free condition
- Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- 6-months of employment experience
- Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work on-site
- Ability to understand basic English as necessary to react to the demands of a factory floor
- Experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required
