What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Gymnastics Instructor position at Oso Jobs?
Summer Gymnastics Instructor — Camp Counselor Role
Location: Across the U.S. | Live, Work, Play at Camp. The job location may differ from the posting location!
Duration: June–August (Varies by Camp)
About the Role:
This summer, we’re looking for energetic, positive, and passionate Gymnastics Instructors to join overnight camps across America. You’ll run fun, dynamic gymnastics sessions for campers of all levels — from their first forward roll to their first stick landing.
Whether you’re a competitive gymnast, a club coach, or just someone who knows the magic of a back handspring, camps are ready to train you on how to teach in a supportive, high-energy environment. Your job? Inspire, empower, and celebrate every skill (big or small) all summer long.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Teach basic to advanced gymnastics (floor, bar, beam, and vault skills)
- Adapt sessions for beginners through advanced campers
- Plan safe, engaging, and confidence-boosting activities
- Work closely with other athletic specialists and counselors
- Cheer loud, high-five often, and help kids find their inner champions
- Live on-site with an amazing community of counselors from all over the world
Who You Are:
- You love gymnastics — teaching it, watching it, doing it
- You’re fun, approachable, and ready to make kids feel like superheroes
- You’re safety-minded and know when to spot and when to celebrate
- You’re adaptable, positive, and team-first
- Experience teaching or competing in gymnastics is awesome (but not required!) — camps offer training too!
What You Get:
- Free housing and meals all summer long (yes, really!)
- A paycheck (you’re getting paid to do this!)
- Lifelong friendships with people from all over the globe
- Professional growth: leadership, communication, problem-solving
- Personal growth: independence, confidence, memories that last forever
- A summer that will change your life
No experience leading camps? No problem.
If you have passion, energy, and a willingness to learn — camps will train you.
