Job Title: Director of Growth & Revenue

Position Summary

The Director of Growth & Revenue is a cross functional roll, pivotal in propelling Oso & Me’s online

business to new heights. This role is responsible for devising and implementing strategies to expand

Oso & Me’s market presence, revenue, and customer base. Reporting to the Founder and Finance

teams, the Director of Growth & Revenue will work in close collaboration with Oso & Me’s

management and marketing teams to offer leadership, shape strategic sales initiatives, and to drive

and execute the operations of the eCommerce, wholesale and digital marketing divisions.


Key responsibilities include -


Strategic Leadership

  • Responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies aimed at increasing customer base, revenue, market share, and profitability
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team to define and implement the strategic vision for Oso & Me’s online & wholesale business
  • Work alongside the CEO and COO to develop, refine, and enhance Oso & Me’s eCommerce strategy aimed at maximizing profitability and fostering sustainable growth
  • Develop and execute the comprehensive website strategy development and daily operations
  • Create a forward-thinking strategic roadmap and channel plan, including annual budget forecasting
  • Responsible for evaluating and integrating new, profitable customer acquisition channels
  • Oversee the wholesale team, developing and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth, and ensuring alignment with broader eCommerce initiatives to maximize performance across all sales platforms
  • Provide leadership and strategic oversight to both the Wholesale Associate and eCommerce Associate, ensuring seamless collaboration between online and offline sales channels to drive overall business growth and enhance customer experience
  • Work with finance and merchandising teams to maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand
  • Formulate and establish the strategic digital marketing plan and sales schedule across various channels, including email/SMS, organic/paid search, and organic/paid social media
  • Spearhead the development and execution of CRM strategies including retention, promotional & loyalty strategies and increased engagement and repeat purchase rates
  • Keep a keen eye on market trends to stay ahead of the competition and anticipate future challenges
  • Clear vision of business goals, target market, value proposition and competitive landscape and the ability to distill this across teams


Performance Management and Team Engagement

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to foster collaboration and innovation among diverse teams
  • Oversee team members and lead cross-functional collaboration with brand marketing, design, operations, and finance teams
  • Foster a culture of performance by implementing regular KPI assessments and identifying areas for improvement
  • Connect operational metrics with marketing initiatives and other vital indicators to boost management effectiveness and ROI
  • Provide guidance, feedback, coaching, and recognition to team members, and ensure that they have the resources and support they need
  • Act as a creative problem solver with the ability to offer leadership and to inspire and motivate cross functional team members to continuously improve growth strategies


Digital Marketing and Website Oversight

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to assess key performance indicators like website traffic, conversion rates, average order value (AOV), repeat purchase rates, customer acquisition costs (CAC), and lifetime value (LTV), transforming data into actionable insights for enhancing ROI
  • Report and communicate growth outcomes and insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Manage interactions between the eCommerce team and external vendors for marketing initiatives and website maintenance
  • Optimize user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) informed by traffic, search, and sales metrics
  • Work with Digital and Performance marketing lead to ensure a “test and learn” methodology to refine spending effectiveness, optimizing campaign creativity, messaging, and target demographics and explore and assess new marketing channels


eCommerce Operations and Effectiveness

  • Implement and execute new strategies aimed at growing the DTC business
  • Continuously evaluate the efficiency of existing eCommerce operations and assess needs based on technological advancements and competitor activities
  • Supervise and manage the daily eCommerce operations, maintenance, and performance tracking of the online business
  • Oversee eCommerce associate and track performance
  • Provide strategic partnership to the brand marketing team for brand positioning and development initiatives



Candidate Profile:

This candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of strategic direct-to-consumer marketing

experience, including hands-on management of online/e-commerce/digital channels and experience

developing growth businesses. Must be an analytically-focused decision-maker driven by commercial

success.

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications, or a related discipline preferred
  • Proven ability to simplify the complex, successfully articulate and address business issues and identify opportunities for management and cross-functional partners
  • Experience in managing digital media and website development partners and agencies
  • Ability to articulate trends, results & strategy based on data analysis and present appropriate adjustments to marketing plans accordingly
  • Results-oriented: demonstrates a sense of urgency for overcoming obstacles and achieving measurable results
  • Resourceful and driven; willing to get hands dirty and personally drive projects and timelines
  • Demonstrated experience in business planning and e-commerce strategy development, promoting collaboration and driving problem resolution across all levels of a business including the c-suite
  • Ability to build a dynamic, team-orientated, results-driven environment
  • Extensive working comprehension of Shopify Plus
