The starting salary for this role is between $175,000-$500,000 / year. Your exact offer will vary based on a number of factors including experience level, skillset, market location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
A note on titles :
We could have called this role "VP of Engineering" but chose not to. Our rationale is that titles should be descriptive so that folks internally and externally know who is who and what their scope is. While we expect you to operate at the most senior levels in the company, we also expect that your scope and a simple "Head of" title will speak for itself. For more background, read this blog post.
