Your new responsibilities
Position OverviewThe Product Data Specialist plays a key product data role within the Hillsboro, NH marketing team (this can be a remote position if within a couple hours of our headquarters). The Marketing Team is responsible for all aspects of marketing - from advertising and communications, new product launches, product and fitment data management, retailer specific in-store signage and merchandising, omni-channel excellence, research, and tradeshows. They are a high producing team who work directly with our customers and internal clients.
The Product Data Specialist reports into the Catalog Data Manager and will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our product data to be used on Sylvania-Automotive.com, our retailer websites, and POS. This role is critical to ensure we create a strong foundation to manage and grow our digital business, providing a positive customer experience.This role requires intense attention to detail along with the ability to manage multiple tasks andprojects simultaneously. They understand data architecture, project management and product management systems, and carry out best practices in the organization. This is a high producing, customer-facing position where the ideal candidate is comfortable performing and balancing workload in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities :
Application & Product Information Management System
Lead projects like establishing global PIM Platform (Stibo) and database UI focusedon data quality, data governance, automated source data normalizing, and best inclass processes to support scalable efforts with the evolving needs of our companyand industry.Gather, organize, and execute product information updates and product lifecyclechanges within internal and external systems (e.g. Syndigo / RiverSand) to ensurefast and accurate product introductions and maintenance.Execute and coordinate regular audits of AAIA Database Changes, ReceiverAssessment Reports, Catalog Interchanges, Sylvania-Automotive.com, and retailpartner ecommerce sites to ensure accuracy and quality of listingsEnsure accurate and on-time ACES & PIES deliveries to receivers on regularcadence while keeping detailed records in company PMS (Monday.com)Manage application data discrepancy processes including OEM research, analysis,normalization, record-keeping, and reporting within internal system / documentationServe as the first point of contact for any data issues from stakeholders to ensureprompt and accurate resolution.eCommerce Product Management
Collaborate with Digital Marketing Specialist to ensure product content and mappingis optimized for performance and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) whereapplicable.Collaborate with Global IT and Digital Marketing team to update Sylvania Bulb Finderregularly and contribute to optimizing the process and the tools' logic.Data Management
Establish and maintain database standards, industry best practices, and content ofinternal knowledge sharing / documentation repositories including documentingprocesses, workflows, and queries, formulas, and database architectures.Look for opportunities to streamline and improve workflows and processes with alaser focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement to data quality.Leverage machine learning / AI (Artificial Intelligence) and other system capabilities tosimplify and scale product data solutions for long-term efficiency.Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Sales, and IT teams to develop andmanage work plans related to PIM, product, and application database projects,ensuring team and retailer goals are met.Utilize company PMS, Monday.com, for full team transparency of all tasks andproject management with impeccable record keepingProject Management
Participate in department meetings and perform other tasks and related duties asassigned.Who we are looking for
Position Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Data Science / Analytics (minor in Physics and / or Mathematics ispreferred), Computer Science, Information Management, or related fieldProven working experience in product information or master data management, as wellas big data QA.Must be a resourceful, technically savvy, and detail-oriented team player who has hadsuccess in working with cross functional teams / projects3 years minimum hands-on experience with the following criteria :
Strong analytical abilities : able to dig into complex data sets to help informdecisions.Proven results in defining product roadmap goals and exceeding them.Superior problem solving and analytical skills. Takes a holistic data-drivenapproach to problem solving and decisions and draws upon business insightwhere information is incomplete.Expert Microsoft Excel and SQL experience required, comfortable manipulating,leveraging, and auditing large data sets (>
1MM rows) and conceptualizingdatabase and data warehouse architectureSuperior attention to detail and time management, working within specifieddeadlines.Experience with eCommerce or digital product managementExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability tocollaborate timely with internal and external business partners / clients.Proven ability to conduct and coordinate coaching / training for internal andexternal stakeholders.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects, withexcellent time and communication management skills.
Previous experience with a PIM (Syndigo or Stibo), FileZilla, project managementsoftware (JIRA, ZoHo, or Monday.com), SQL / no-SQL, and PythonPrevious experience in automotive or industrial data is a plusBasic understanding of SEO best practices is a plus.Experience working with Auto Care Association Automotive Aftermarket (AAIA)standards and databases is a plus
