Security Guard

OSS Inc., an established contract security guard company with over 50 years experience, is looking for dependable, hard-working security officers in the Midland, PA area

OSS Inc. security guards are fully uniformed, unarmed and trained.

$17 an hour.

Part time position. 16–24 hours per week, with potential for increased hours based on performance and availability. Weekend and weekday daylight availability is required. Afternoon availability preferred and will result in additional opportunities for hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform gate access control and routine patrol duties
• Maintain a visible presence to ensure safety and security
• Operate standard office equipment (computers, printers, phones, etc.)
• Interact professionally with visitors, contractors, and employees
• Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate clear communication
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently, particularly during busy periods

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work independently and adhere to safety protocols
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous security experience preferred but not required—training provided
• Experience as an EMT, medical provider, or first responder is strongly encouraged to apply
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Reliable transportation
• Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening

Requirements:

· Eighteen years of age

· High school diploma or GED equivalent

· Ability to work additional shifts as deemed necessary

· Ability to speak and write English

· Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

· Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities include:

· Ensure the safety and security of the site and visitors through regular rounding of the premises and monitoring of cameras

· Escorting employees and visitors to various sites on the premises when needed

· Responding to and assisting in emergency situations

· Completing incident reports when required

· Completing tasks as required by the client

· Signing visitors in and out of the facility
