What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Electrician position at Osseo Area Schools?
Osseo Area Schools is seeking an experienced Master Electrician to join our facilities maintenance team. This full-time, year-round position plays a crucial role in maintaining the electrical infrastructure across our district facilities, ensuring safe and reliable operations.
Your Role Will Include:
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment
- Planning maintenance projects and managing material procurement
- Supervising non-licensed electrical program employees
- Troubleshooting lighting systems (athletic fields, parking lots, security)
- Obtaining permits and ensure code compliance
- Conducting preventive maintenance
- Maintaining documentation and inventory
Qualifications:
- Master Electrician License and Valid Driver’s License required
- Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience in electrical systems planning, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in varying environments, including heights, driving motorized equipment and working in extreme temperatures
- Successful completion of Background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational electrical training
- Arc flash certification
Salary and Benefits:
- Starting at $32.72/hr - $46.07/hr, based on experience
