In this role, you will :
Technical :
- Demonstrated experience navigating quality system design controls per 21CFR 820 and ISO 13485
- Identify design requirements and generate novel engineering solutions including medical device implants, instrumentation, and associated packaging and labeling
- Conduct market and intellectual property research and analyses
- Produce robust engineering parts, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks
- Dimension prints with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 for efficient manufacturing and inspection
- Perform engineering analyses such as stress, FEA, basic failure analysis, tolerance stack, material selection and FMEA.
- Create and maintain risk and usability engineering documentation as per ISO 14971 and IEC62366
- Apply a working knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes to optimize Design for Manufacturability
- Develop and execute test protocols, interpret results, and publish associated reports
- Create and maintain Design History Files in accordance with established Product Development Process
- Organize and participate, as appropriate, in cadaver labs, surgeries, industry conferences, and other product development related activities
- Participate in and / or lead design transfer activities
- Perform effective time / project management activities
- Perform and / or oversee engineering maintenance on existing product including design updates, complaint analyses, and engineering changes
