Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
• Understanding of fine dining techniques. OLB is not a traditional fine dining restaurant but we aim to serve at the highest level of professionalism in the hospitality field.
• POS and iPad knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or restaurant setting is preferred
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and dietary requirements

Duties

• Learn and memorize entire food, wine, and cocktail menu
• Greeting guests and seating them warmly and quickly
• Taking reservations over the phone and in person
• Managing floor plan to ensure maximum seating possibilities
• Taking togo orders and entering them into the POS system
• Entering 3rd party takeout orders
• Running food in a proper fashion
• Assisting fellow hospitality members in any and all capacity (Osteria La Buca is a pooled house and in such every hospitality member works as a team unit.)
• Maintaining the host stand and ensuring proper cleanliness at all times.
• Bussing and resetting tables.
• Organizing and stocking host stand
• Daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled sidework
• Opening and closing of dining room
• Bi-yearly employee evaluations
• Quarterly brush up testing

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
