Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Paralegal to join our legal team. The primary focus of this role will be analyzing legal documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal terminology and experience in document review and contract management.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities, includes but not limited to:
- Review, analyze, and summarize contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Identify potential risks, discrepancies, and areas for improvement in documentation.
- Draft and edit standard legal documents, including NDAs, service agreements, and amendments.
- Conduct legal research to support the organization’s needs as required.
- Collaborate with attorneys, management, and other stakeholders to ensure legal documents meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain an organized filing system for contracts and legal documents.
- Assist with compliance tracking and reporting tasks.
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Certification from an accredited paralegal program preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role, with a focus on contracts or document analysis.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal management software.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management systems.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Office work environment
- Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
- This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 7.5-15 hours a week. Schedule flexibility is available, but hours may vary based on workload and deadlines.
