What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Intern position at OSU Foundation?

POSITION SUMMARY: The legal intern will, under the direction of the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel, (i) assist in filing, compiling and organizing legal documents; (ii) assist in implementing policies and procedures affecting the Foundation; (iii) assist in compiling reports and committee books of the Foundation; and (iv) other administrative duties that arise.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
- File, compile and organize mineral management and other legal documents into proper files as directed by the general counsel and associate general counsel.
- Work with the legal department employees to complete various projects set forth in Foundation policies and procedures.
- Collect, organize and record when necessary Foundation and committee reports and books.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to multi-task and facilitate projects in a proactive, efficient and competent manner;
- Ability to meet deadlines;
- Ability to precisely organize and file documents into proper files;
- Knowledge of correct English usage, spelling, grammar, etc.; modern office methods and procedures; equipment and filing systems; proofreading; and report writing techniques; and
- Possession of word processing and spreadsheet skills.
Preferred Experience-
- Experience and/or an interest in the oil and gas industry, managing minerals, negotiating leases, reviewing divisions orders, or performing title work.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must use a computer terminal and view a computer screen for extended periods of time. Must talk in person or by phone (frequently and sometimes for extended periods) to people on campus and across the country. Must constantly use visual acuity to check printed and designed materials of various types. Must be able to navigate within the OSU Foundation. Typical office working conditions.
