***THIS IS A PART TIME HYBRID POSITION***
We are a small woman owned health provider north of Boston.
The role of Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist will provide direct support to meet the clinic's financial goals and assist with the maintenance of contracts as well as onboarding of new staff including payroll, and participating in office staff meetings where knowledge and support are shared.
Hours: 20-25 hours per week - M-F 9 am to 2 pm (hybrid, flexible depending on hours).
The Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist will report directly to the Director of Administration. This position provides comprehensive support for all company finances, payroll, and oversees some office administration tasks for all of our locations.
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, employee reimbursements, payroll, and vendor statements
- Ensures that all expenditures are appropriately categorized.
- Reconciles credit card statements and enters data into QuickBooks.
- Serve as backup to make bank deposits
- Posts financial data to appropriate accounts in QuickBooks
- Manage monthly invoices ensuring proper billing
- Process payroll
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, tracks Professional Development spending & time off of staff; and registers staff for continuing education events.
- Maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Implement HR policies and procedures to support organizational goals.
- Monitor and process required therapists' credentialing
- Order Clinic supplies and serve as back up on purchases of office supplies
- Manages and maintains all office equipment contracts
Education, Training and Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent direct work experience preferred
- 5 years’ experience in finance or related field required
- 2-5 years of payroll experience required
- QuickBooks experience required
- Proficiency in Excel required.
- Strong analytical skills and customer service skills

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
