Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Product Owner with a strong background in AWS cloud services and Java development. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams—including developers, architects, and business stakeholders—to define and deliver product features that align with our strategic goals. This is a hybrid position based in Dallas, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team.
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize and maintain the product backlog to ensure value-driven development.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to align feature development with backend systems (primarily in Java).
- Understand and communicate technical concepts related to AWS infrastructure and cloud-native development.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Drive product vision and roadmap for cloud-based applications and services.
- Ensure timely delivery of product increments while balancing scope, resources, and schedule.
- Provide insights based on data and analytics to inform decision-making and prioritization.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in Agile environments.
- Strong hands-on understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, etc.
- Technical background in Java development or experience working closely with Java engineering teams.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (2–3 days onsite in Dallas, TX).
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate).
- Experience in enterprise-scale cloud migration or digital transformation projects.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Previous experience in finance, insurance, or healthcare domains (if relevant).
