Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of two, overseeing daily accounting operations and the monthly close process.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Take direct ownership of the Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting process, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing, including oversight of annual physical inventory coordination.
- Support the seamless integration of acquisitions into the company's ERP system.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies, maintaining strong internal controls.
- Prepare documentation and reports to support both internal and external audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Proactively seek value-add opportunities and drive positive change to support the company's long-term growth.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain strong financial controls and reporting integrity.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in accounting, showing advancement in an organization.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage and motivate a team.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification is a plus.
- 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
