Allied Sales & Service is looking for an Application Engineer to join our team in Theodore, AL!
As an Application Engineer , you will be responsible for providing technical support, managing customer interactions, and handling project-related tasks. Additional responsibilities include assisting engineers with technical data and specification development, reviewing public bid projects, managing email communications, and sending quotes promptly.
What You'll Do :
- Assist engineers with technical data and specification development, and review public bid projects to ensure the equipment meets required specifications.
- Manage the email inbox to ensure tasks are completed, send quotes to customers and bidding contractors promptly, and answer their questions.
- Develop a deep understanding of various product lines and manufacturers, size and select pumps and rotating equipment to meet customer needs, and evaluate potential value engineering cost savings.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work, prepare detailed listings of materials and equipment for estimates, and obtain and review vendor quotes for completeness and conformance with plans.
- Create proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects, and after bid acceptance, meet with the inside sales team to explain job scope and ensure a successful project transition.
- Must be good at multitasking and working in an environment with changing priorities, while maintaining a strong customer focus.
- Other duties may be assigned.
