- APPLICATION ENGINEER
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer design requests, specifications, manuals and other data to evaluate the feasibility & cost of requested system/ product
- Defines customer product requirements, completes design specifications and plans accordingly to meet customer requirements
- Assists with project management (i.e. Obtain, evaluate competitive bids and negotiate with suppliers; Assist with production plans for projects, taking quality requirements and contract obligations into account)
- Regularly provides equipment/system/ process/ training recommendations to improve reliability and/or performance. Follows thru to completion. Fully participates in continuous improvement activities
- Resolves production problems that arise with manufacturing team
- All other duties as assigned
- Associates (two-year technical school) degree or certificate in technical discipline such as mathematics, mechanical technology, or equivalent. (Bachelor's in mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Industrial Science or other technical discipline preferred) or relevant training/education/experience in mechanical &/or electrical design for systems/ products/ assemblies”
- Can draft using either AutoCAD LT or SolidWorks
- Exposure to or the ability to programming PLC's and HMI's
- Siemens Simatic S7
- Allen Bradley RS Logix
- Demonstrated technical expertise in specified product segment
- Computer software skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe PDF)
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment
- Highly organized, with attention to detail
- Sense of urgency; responds to requests in a timely manner.
- Strong (email, phone, web and in person) communication and customer service skills. (Prior experience in a customer service role preferred).
