We are seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Intern to join our New York-based HR Team for an 8-week Paid Internship Program. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR operations, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives. The intern will work closely with HR professionals, supporting key functions such as recruiting onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and learning & development programs.
This position is scheduled to start on June 2, 2025, and conclude on August 1, 2025.
Base compensation for this role is up to $25 per hour.
Throughout the program, the intern will develop a comprehensive understanding of HR processes within a regulated financial marketplace and will have the opportunity to present their key learnings and contributions to the company at the conclusion of the internship. Please note OTC Markets is currently operating in a hybrid work environment (three days in office, two days remotely). This position is located in our NYC office.
What You’ll Do:
- Contribute to HR automation initiatives, helping streamline and enhance internal processes.
- Assist in documenting HR policies and procedures to support the development of manuals and guidelines.
- Respond to employee requests, including employment verifications, employer support letters, and other HR-related inquiries.
- Research and analyze trends in benefits, compensation structures, and HR best practices.
- Support the recruitment process by posting job ads, coordinating interviews, and liaising with hiring teams.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the company.
- Conduct research on regulatory compliance to support HR policies and best practices.
- Additional responsibilities, as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office automation tools.
- Tech-savvy mindset with a curiosity for optimizing processes and finding innovative solutions.
- Passion for understanding the people side of business operations.
- Previous customer service or client-facing experience is a plus.
