Position Summary:
The OTG Barista atIAH George Bush Intercontinental Airport will beresponsible forcrafting high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service to OTG guests, and maintaininga clean and inviting atmosphere. You will work closely with customers to ensure their satisfaction and contribute to a positive team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Follow OTG steps of serviceandstandard operating procedures
- Preparecoffeeandbeverages per OTG specifications
- Provide hospitality and exceptional experiences to OTG guests
- Walk guests through the OTG ordering and payment system, as needed
- Provide suggestions based on guest preferences and/or dietary restrictions/allergies,reply to guest questions and concerns
- Follow the OTG cash handling and cash register policiesas needed
- Maintain cleanliness in service stations
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required
- Obtain high levelcoffee and beverage knowledge to elevate the guest experienceand skills
- Sample coffee and tea offerings every shift to ensure quality and improve product knowledge
- Restock and maintainfood, beverage, and merchandise displays
- Assistteam members as needed
- Inform MOD on guest complaints/feedback/inquiries
- Inform leadership team of low inventory and equipment issues
- Adhereto safety and food handling procedures
- Adherence to local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws
- Perform additionaltasks requested by the OTG leadership team
- Hospitable, customer service-oriented
- Able to lift 35 lbs. in weight
- Familiarity with espresso/coffeemachines and kitchen equipment
- Ability to bemobile and abletostand for extended periods, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must be proficient with computers,processing paymentinformation through the POS system
- Must be able to work varied hours/days, nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather conditions
