A Nurse Technician is a nursing student employed by the hospital who is currently enrolled in good standing in a nursing program approved by the commission, who has completed their 1st quarter and has not graduated. Nurse Technician is responsible for providing nursing care and support to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse in accordance with their scope of practice. Nurse Technician must hold an active Washington State Nurse Technician license issued by the Washington State board of Nursing. The nursing technician reports directly to the nursing department director.
- Must be a student in good standing and have completed at least one academic term which included a clinical component. Must be able to provide documentation of current clinical competencies from completed Nursing School course work for each completed quarter of education.
- Must be registered by the Washington State Department of Health as a Nursing Technician.
- Current healthcare provider BLS certification.
This is a hospital based and hourly position working variable and rotating shifts/days.
