Taproom Bartender
The bartender's primary goal is to serve guests in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner ensuring 100% guest satisfaction. The bartender must responsibly and intelligently serve guests as well as maintain an organized, efficient bar.
This staff member must provide a consistent level of service that meets the standards of the company and exceeds the expectations of the guest.
Essential Duties:
Guest Service
Accommodate guests by making each individual feel welcome.
- Be able to converse with guests about the menu and beverage list in a detailed and professional manner.
- Be fully versed in technical and specific beverage knowledge.
Anticipate needs of the guest and exceed their expectations, while performing multiple duties at one time
- Act professional and accommodating and always maintain composure.
- Identify and report problems to management immediately.
Beverage Knowledge
- Have a detailed knowledge of all the beverages served, Including craft beers, wine, and cocktails.
- Know the taste, origin, and ABV and other characteristics of each beverage.
- Know which glasses are used for which drinks.
Bar Responsibilities
- Pour all drinks for bar guests.
- Serve drinks maintaining consistent, accurate portions as set by management.
- Have a strong knowledge of POS system.
- Communicate with fellow staff to restock and clear the bar of dirty glasses.
- Serve alcohol responsibly to guests.
Bar Station
- Maintain a clean, organized work station at all times.
- Assist with inventory of all products and merchandise.
- Restock the bar before and after service with correct items.
- Use POS system and bar equipment properly.
- Perform all side work duties and other tasks set by management.
Brewery Policies and Procedures
- Adhere to accounting procedures for all transactions.
- Adhere to posted work schedule and follow proper procedures for shift changes.
- Adhere to uniform, grooming, and hygiene standards.
- Attend staff meetings when scheduled.
- Have a general knowledge of all beverages and history of the Brewery.
The base pay for this position is $15.50- $15.50 per hour. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
