SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST TEAM LEAD - GENESIS
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Workforce First Program Manager, the Supported Employment Specialist (SES) Team Lead - Genesis oversees the operations and outcomes of the Genesis SES Team. This role is responsible for direct supervision of Genesis SES Team; maintaining daily scheduling, attendance, and crew configuration records; submitting accurate payout requests and daily summaries in Apricot; provision of supported employment services as necessary; regular coordination of service delivery targets and updates on team outputs with relevant external stakeholders. Additionally, SES staff are expected to proactively and constructively engage participants with job-readiness goals, soft-skills development, and relevant case management goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Works with the Workforce First Program Manager to develop, implement, and refine the supported employment specialist service delivery model.
· Collaborates with program and organizational leadership to ensure staff comply with organizational training standards and initiatives.
· Coordinates with external partners at Parks and Recreation and Watershed Protection Departments to determine/prioritize worksites and troubleshoot or problem solve relevant operational obstacles.
· Updates City of Austin contract manager weekly regarding previous week's output by sharing site visit report and photo logs.
· Oversees SES team scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for daily operations, including ability to provide coverage for SES staff as necessary.
· Supports Workforce First staff in navigating or de-escalating complex or challenging situations with participants or visitors.
· Models effective service delivery by utilizing person centered, strengths-based, trauma informed, and harm-reduction perspectives.
· Cross-trains in the role of Case Management Team Lead to effectively execute the role when necessary.
· Oversees scheduling and distribution of participants across work crews.
· Submits accurate payout requests and daily summary logs via Apricot daily.
· Coordinates with inventory manager to maintain sufficient supply of work materials, cleaning supplies, and other facilities maintenance supplies.
· Oversees purchasing for all crew meals (lunches, breakfasts, coffee, etc.)
· Coordinates with Workforce First Program Manager and corresponding Team Lead to ensure that all incident reports, injury reports, or similar program documentation are submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with documentation standards as outlined in organizational policy and procedure guidelines.
· Communicates SES team needs and/or submits relevant work orders to fleet and facilities as it pertains to the scope of Genesis work opportunities or SES operations.
· Attends weekly Genesis cross-team collaboration meeting prepared to contribute relevant insights, updates, or concerns with a focus on solution-oriented outcomes
· Attends all appropriate departmental and all-staff meetings and be sufficiently prepared to constructively engage with colleagues.
· Completes all assigned training in a timely manner and integrates training standards into daily operations. · Oversees tracking of client attendance in collaboration with the Case Management team.
REQUIREMENTS
· Experience working with individuals that are experiencing homelessness.
· Familiarity of the nuanced sub-culture shared by people experiencing homelessness.
· Ability to promote a culture that encourages low barrier access to case management services and employment opportunities.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Well-organized and apt in problem-solving.
· Demonstrated alignment with the Other Ones Foundation’s philosophy, mission, & vision.
· Ability to effectively analyze key outputs, performance indicators, and other relevant data points in service of maintaining accountability to contractual obligations and program goals.
· Must demonstrate a high level of intercultural competence, an understanding of the diverse identities and cultures of people experiencing homelessness, and in developing and supporting inclusive communities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The Other Ones Foundation offers essential services to people experiencing homelessness. Work is generally performed in an indoor environment, although situations may arise where you must be outdoors. In accordance with CDC guidelines, TOOF continues to provide covid-specific leave.
HOURS
· Full-time
· 40 hours a week
· Monday-Friday
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Valid class-C driver’s license
· Authorized to work in the United States
· Skilled in compassionate and authentic communication
· Able to work collaboratively with a team and foster a healthy work culture.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Experience driving passenger vans and/or trailers
· Bilingual
· Experience working in social or vocational services
