CASE MANAGER TEAM LEAD, WORKFORCE FIRST


JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Workforce First Program Manager, the Case Management Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the operations and outcomes of the case management team, in addition to maintaining their own caseload. This role is responsible for direct supervision of the Workforce First case management staff, maintenance of the Workforce First waitlist, scheduling of intakes and assigning caseloads, and monitoring case management service delivery to ensure the case management team is operating in alignment with best practices and in accordance with organizational standards. In addition to prioritizing goals identified by clients, the case management team is expected to prioritize connecting clients to housing and vocational development opportunities, as outlined in our contractual performance measures.


RESPONSIBILITIES


· Works with the Workforce First Program Manager to develop, implement, and refine the case management delivery system.

· Collaborates with program and organizational leadership to ensure staff comply with organizational training standards and initiatives.

· Provides comprehensive supervision and mentorship to a team of case managers, including maintenance of regularly scheduled 1:1 and team meetings.

· Ensures effective performance of case management team by overseeing staff scheduling, data compliance standards, and impactful service delivery across census.

· Partners with and supports case managers in addressing complex and/or challenging client interactions or dynamics as necessary.

· Ability to support Workforce First staff in navigating or de-escalating complex or challenging situations with participants or visitors.

· Cross-trains in the role of Supported Employment Specialist Team Lead to effectively execute the role when necessary.

· Models effective service delivery by utilizing person centered, strengths-based, trauma informed, and harm-reduction perspectives.

· Maintains a client caseload dependent upon the needs of the case management team, and operates in accordance with the responsibilities and standards outlined in the Workforce First Case Manager job

description.

· Coordinates with Workforce First Program Manager and corresponding Team Lead to ensure that all incident reports, injury reports, or similar program documentation are submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with documentation standards as outlined in organizational policy and procedure guidelines.

· Leads case management team in carrying out internal audits and ensures accuracy of submissions.

· Attending weekly Genesis cross-team collaboration meeting prepared to contribute relevant insights, updates, or concerns with a focus on solution-oriented outcomes

· Attending all appropriate program and all-staff meetings sufficiently prepared to constructively engage with colleagues.

· Completing all assigned trainings in a timely manner and integrating training standards into daily operations.


REQUIREMENTS

· Experience working with individuals that are experiencing homelessness.

· Familiarity of the nuanced sub-culture shared by people experiencing homelessness.

· Ability to promote a culture that encourages low barrier access to case management services and employment opportunities.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Well-organized and apt in problem-solving.

· Demonstrated alignment with the Other Ones Foundation’s philosophy, mission, & vision.

· Ability to effectively analyze key outputs, performance indicators, and other relevant data points in service of maintaining accountability to contractual obligations and program goals.

· Must demonstrate a high level of intercultural competence, an understanding of the diverse identities and cultures of people experiencing homelessness, and in developing and supporting inclusive communities.


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Other Ones Foundation offers essential services to people experiencing homelessness. Work is generally performed in an indoor environment, although situations may arise where you must be outdoors. In accordance with CDC guidelines, TOOF continues to provide covid-specific leave.


HOURS

· Full-time, non-exempt

· 40 hours a week

· Monday-Friday


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Two years of full-time experience working with our target population

· Authorized to work in the United States

· Skilled in compassionate and authentic communication

· Able to work collaboratively with a team and foster a healthy work culture.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in social work or a related field

· Valid class-C driver’s license

· Bilingual

· Experience in either social services or vocational services
