Physicians Hearing Center at Otolaryngology Associates, Ltd in Columbus, MS is in search of a full-time Audiology assistant. We are a growing practice with 3 clinic locations including Columbus, Starkville, and Amory, MS. The candidate will work directly with the audiologists and help with administrative tasks, scheduling, ordering of hearing aids and other assistive devices. The position would also require assisting with diagnostic evaluations, maintenance of clinical supplies, assistance with patient equipment, and insurance billing.
Some occasional travel may be required between these locations. No audiology experience is required; however, prior ENT/Audiology practice experience is a plus!
Requirements: The Audiology Assistant will be expected to utilize efficient time-management and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. The candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills, both in person, over the phone, and in written form.
Specific duties will include but are not limited to:
· Maintain, clean, and stock audiology areas including booths, VNG/ABR testing room, audiology lab, and hearing aid supplies.
· Assist with patient flow.
· Prepare hearing devices by maintaining invoice records, tracking packages, sorting audiology mail, preparing purchase agreements, sending devices for repair, and ensuring appointments are scheduled correctly for all incoming device orders.
· Assist audiologist with hearing aid counseling
· Troubleshooting and maintaining hearing aids
· Assist audiologist with pediatric patients through conditional play audiometry.
· ·Assist audiologist with vestibular evaluations.
· Assist audiologists with diagnostic hearing evaluations
· Assisting clinical team, when necessary, by preparing patients for examination by accurately recording vital signs; cleaning and sterilizing instruments; cleaning sound booths
· Triage audiology phone calls to ensure the highest quality of customer service
· Ensure the variety of audiology appointments and testing are scheduled in the most efficient manner possible to allow for customer satisfaction and a smoothly running clinic.
· Required technological skills include but are not limited to: Proficiency in full Windows Suite and familiarity with iOS and Android devices as well as a capability to quickly learn new programs such as EHR and multiple audiology programs.

Days/Hours: Mon-Thursday 8:00-5:00 and Friday 8:00-12:00
