Otsego Public Schools – Superintendent Posting
The Otsego Public Schools Board of Education is seeking a Superintendent to begin work in July 1, 2025. The Board is being assisted in the search by the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) with Dr. Rod Green as the consultant.
Otsego is in Allegan County in beautiful southwest Michigan. The Otsego area has many lakes, parks, and many recreation opportunities. The District serves about 2364 students in an Early Childhood Center, three elementary school buildings, a Middle School, High School, West Campus Alternative HS, and Otsego Virtual Academy with a budget of $34 million. The District recently created a Strategic Plan for 2022-27 which includes developing relationships, having a student centered focus, offering real world experiences, building community, developing the whole child, and expecting excellence.
The Board of Education of Otsego Public Schools seeks a superintendent who is a strong leader, has strong financial skills, and will be an effective communicator with staff and community. The educational leader will actively work with the Board and community to set and reach goals. The new Superintendent should be an instructional leader and a creative problem solver. This educational leader should be friendly, honest, and ethical.
Salary and Contract Information
The District will offer a competitive wage and benefit package (salary / annuity range $150,000 to $170,000) that reflects the experience and education of the candidate chosen as the next Superintendent.
