Long Term Care Medical Science Liaison-Mid-AtlanticLong Term Care Medical Science Liaison-Mid-Atlantic Apply locations Remote time type Full time posted on Posted Today job requisition id R8452Long Term Care Medical Science Liaisons (LTC-MSL) are trusted and credible medical / scientific experts that provide relevant, reliable, and unbiased scientific information to Otsuka Key Opinion Leaders and other individuals impacting the care of patients within the LTC framework. The LTC-MSL is responsible for developing creative and innovative strategies for addressing the specific needs of external audiences in the long-term care space.Position Overview – Long Term Care Medical Science LiaisonIdentify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with LTC clinical decision makers and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to ensure communication of current and emerging medical and scientific information resulting in improvement of optimal patient care and outcomes.Develop and execute engagement plans to align education between LTC clinical decision makers and HCPs.Develop prioritized plans for national and regional LTC stakeholders.Coordinate with Ecosystem medical partners (RMLs, MSLs, MMLs, etc.) to facilitate national, regional, and local outreach and insight gathering.Establish line of communication with Otsuka internal stakeholders to assure coordinated activity and a customer view of One Otsuka.Advocate for disease awareness to address LTC resident unmet medical needs.Facilitate communication between Otsuka and clinical decision makers in the LTC space.Facilitate and moderate scientific peer discussions and education programs.Arrange or conduct educational programs ensuring compliance with company policies.Attend local, regional, and national medical conferences to build advocacy for Otsuka and our areas of focus.Collect competitive intelligence and analyze data (symposia, abstracts, poster presentations, etc.).QualificationsAdvanced degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biological Sciences, Health Services Research, or Public Health (PharmD., M.D., PhD. or D.Ph.) is required.Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience (clinical, health system, or industry).Business travel, by air or car, up to 70% of time depending upon size of ecosystem.Preferred living locations are : Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Richmond, or Charlotte.CompetenciesAccountability for Results : Stay focused on key strategic objectives, be accountable for high standards of performance, and take an active role in leading change.Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving : Make decisions considering the long-term impact to customers, patients, employees, and the business.Patient & Customer Centricity : Maintain an ongoing focus on the needs of our customers and / or key stakeholders.Impactful Communication : Communicate with logic, clarity, and respect.
