Part-Time CNC Instructor
Location: Thompson M-TEC, Holland, MI
Schedule: Two evenings per week, four hours per evening (Total: 60-hour program)
Compensation: $40 per hour
Job Summary:
Thompson M-TEC is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced CNC Instructor to teach a part-time evening course. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining, with a passion for teaching adult learners and training the next generation of CNC professionals. This course runs twice per school year based on industry demand.
Responsibilities:
Teach CNC programming and machining principles in a structured classroom and lab environment.
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with industry needs.
Provide hands-on instruction in CNC machine operation, setup, and programming.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
Collaborate with M-TEC staff to ensure program quality and relevance.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of CNC programming experience.
Strong knowledge of CNC machine operation, setup, and troubleshooting.
Journeyman Machinist certification preferred.
Associate degree in a related field preferred.
Teaching or training experience is a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
