What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Drama Assistant Director position at Ottawa USD 290?
This is a 3-4 month position that will assist with the High School's annual drama production.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of school principal, drama director, or designee, the High School Drama Assistant Director creates a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the Drama Assistant Director must work closely with other staff, and administration of the District.
KPERS participation for this position is mandatory.

Additional Information:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelors Degree in theater education or related field preferred.
- Current Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsement preferred.
- Engages students in the math program using a hands-on learning approach.
- Maintains accurate records and communicate with colleagues, administration, and families.
- Coaching and student organization advisor/sponsor positions may be available.
USD290 conducts background screenings and TB tests on all potential candidates.
