Otter Products is hiring for a Chief Marketing Officer to join our Executive Leadership team in Fort Collins, CO.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will lead our marketing, product, engineering, design, and merchandising teams. The CMO will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of comprehensive strategies that drive innovation, market leadership, and profitable growth of the Otter Products portfolio of products and brands across all channels of distribution.
This role requires a dynamic executive leader with a proven track record of success in leading cross-functional teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

- Partner with the Executive Leadership Team and Otter Products Board to align go to market strategies for company growth and profitability and improve overall organizational performance.
- Act as a thought-leader for Otter Products while leading high-performing teams across marketing, product, engineering, design, and merchandising, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Inspire and motivate the go to market leadership team, setting clear expectations, articulating individual and team roles in achieving company strategy, and holding go to market leadership and team members accountable to expectations.
- Evaluate existing processes across multiple functional areas and develop efficiencies and performance improvements.
- Drive go to market plans that align with business objectives and maintain brand consistency, effectively communicating brand and product messages.
- Enhance the company’s global brand image, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
- Oversee merchandising plans that enhance product visibility, drive sales across various channels and deliver on the annual Price and Margin Realization (PMR) objectives.
- Develop and implement merchandising and pricing strategies informed by market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive analysis to maintain market leadership.
- Ensure that products are successfully brought to market by overseeing the end-to-end commercialization process.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure go to market initiative success and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, integrating sales trends, market insights, and engineering feedback to meet product standards and customer needs.
- Use market insights and intelligence to support short- and long-term strategic decisions and guide the development of new product categories and extensions.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and oversee P&L, ensuring efficient resource allocation to maximize ROI.
- Support and maintain a positive safety culture by being an active leader in all safety program initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of sales, go-to-market, marketing, and/or product management experience is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a senior management or executive level role required.
