Job Summary: We are seeking a full-time Journeymen or Apprentice Electrical Line Worker to be temporarily located in Oakes, ND. This role involves maintaining or repairing overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems and substations.
Responsibilities: Some of your daily tasks may include framing and erecting poles, attaching necessary fixtures and equipment, stringing, sagging, and splicing conductors (wires), connecting transformers and other equipment, trimming trees, replacing faulty equipment, and performing similar repair work as needed to clear up storm damage.
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you should have a diploma from an accredited line worker program and a valid, unrestricted interstate commercial driver's license. Knowledge of electric line construction, maintenance, and repair is essential. You will also need to be able to work outdoors in any weather, climb, and follow safety rules while collaborating well with others.
Growth Opportunities: As a selected candidate, you will be expected to learn to use electrical instruments, operate hydraulic equipment, and work out of an aerial basket.
