**About the Job:**
Otter Tail Power Company has an opening for a temporary, full-time summer intern position for a student pursuing Land Surveying. The Survey Technician Summer Intern will gain hands-on experience working on field projects while under the supervision of experienced staff.
You will be responsible for completing assigned tasks while adhering to established field procedures, ensuring that field data is properly formatted and easily accessible. This includes taking photos or making sketches of monuments, structures, topography, trees, etc., to assist office personnel and drafting technicians visualize conditions.
In addition, you will communicate effectively with the Survey Team, downloading data collected electronically to the proper job and file, and assisting in reducing data to usable format. You will also be expected to use proper safety equipment and follow proper field safety procedures.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting and develop essential skills in data collection and analysis.
