About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Relay Technician to join our team at Otter Tail Power Company.
Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and adjusting relays in service, maintaining records, and operating test equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Making periodic tests of differential, directional, overcurrent, underfrequency, and other types of relays in service.
- Testing and adjusting new relays as they are received prior to initial installation.
- Maintaining records on all new relays.
- Operating all test equipment.
- Specializing in relay testing and being very knowledgeable in system protective schemes.
Requirements:
- Three to five years' experience as a Journeyman Electrician or equivalent experience.
- Educational background including electrical or electronics trade school associate degree.
- Able to work with fellow employees and be free to travel to all parts of the system.
