Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to the development and design of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing electrical components for industrial applications, with proficiency in AutoCAD for system layout and design.
Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems and components for industrial applications
- Create and modify electrical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD
- Specify appropriate components and materials for electrical installations
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and provide technical solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project implementation
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
- Provide technical support for existing installations
- Develop and review electrical system specifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Physics degrees also highly regarded)
- 2 years of professional electrical engineering experience
- Material handling systems experience
- Experience with industrial automation and control systems
- Knowledge of NEC and other relevant electrical codes
- Project management experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and documentation
- Experience with electrical systems ranging from 24V to 1,000V, including 480V applications
- Demonstrated expertise in controls systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles and industry standards
- Experience creating electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation
