The role of a Full-Time Life Enrichment / Activities Coordinator is an essential role within our Small House Neighborhood that plans and implements activities for our residents based on their interests, needs, and ability to enhance their quality of life.

Job Types: Full-Time at 32 hours
Pay: Based on experience
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning and implementation of activities for elders that encourages socialization, entertainment, relaxation and improve daily living skills
- Responsible for creating monthly calendar to engage the elders’ interests, including spiritual, creative, cultural, emotional, environmental, health related, intellectual, social, spiritual, vocational
- Completes in-depth assessment of each elder for admission, quarterly, etc.
- Completes in-depth care planning of activities for each elder
- Completes monthly Resident/House Council
- Provide and maintain music and memory for elders
- Provide and maintain Otterbein Milestones Memory Program
- Assures each House has activities for elders
- Completes monthly activity outings of elders’ choices (out to eat, zoo, bowling, etc.)
- Completes all Activity related reports, such as MDS documentation
- Drives the activity bus to and from activities/appointments
- Engages elders in activities
- Engages Neighborhood partners/staff in elder activities
- All other duties that apply
Qualifications

Education: Post-secondary education preferred, with emphasis on social work, counseling or geriatrics. MEPAP-1, required or obtained within designated time. A licensed Therapeutic Recreation Specialist will be considered

Licensure: Holds a valid OH driver’s license, Serv-Safe, preferred, CPR and First Aid certifications, preferred.
