What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Ottimo on 5th-Cucina & Bar?
Responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a bar and restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drink Preparation: Mix and serve drinks according to the menu or customer preferences. This includes cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders, offering recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of stock levels, restock supplies, and ensure that the bar area is clean and organized. This may include checking for expired bottles and rotating stock.
- Cash Handling: Process payments accurately, handle cash, credit cards, and tips. Maintain a cash register and provide change as needed.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the bar area, glasses, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
- Compliance with Laws: Ensure that customers are not overserved, and adhere to legal drinking age requirements and other alcohol-related regulations.
- Stocking and Preparing Ingredients: Prepare garnishes, syrups, and other ingredients for drinks and manage inventory of these items.
