Global freight forwarding leader is seeking a Customs Entry Writer for their branch in Monterey Park, CA! Licensing is not required for this opportunity; however, we would like someone with about 2 years of experience with customs entries.
This is a full-time opportunity with benefits and room for continued growth.
Schedule :
Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for day-to-day operations relating to the handling and customs clearance of international shipments.
- Classification of shipments and preparation of entry.
- Knowledge of FDA filing and other PGA’s and familiar with CBP regulations.
- Work closely and in conjunction with the Brokerage / Branch / Compliance Manager to ensure efficiency in all processes within the company and department.
- Communicate with US Customs officials and other government agencies as deemed necessary.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries on the brokerage-only files.
- Respond to internal and external (customer) requests.
- Enter shipment and billing data into operational systems.
- Assist with payment requests and customer billing as needed.
- Demonstrated stress tolerance and flexibility to changing priorities.
- Prepare and post PSC.
