What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at OTTO ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS?
Summary: Warehouse associate primary duties will be to unload inbound trucks and load up outbound orders on the trucks for delivery the next day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading trucks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to shipping/receiving documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas including trucks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to always ensure a safe work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements or efficiencies.
- On occasion when needed assist the Delivery Driver making deliveries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified forklift operator
- Understanding of safety protocols and ability to adhere to strict safety standards.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery in a controlled, precise manner.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed to support Delivery/Receiving demands.
- Ability to work the Day, Evening or Night shifts
- Must be able to pass Drug test
