Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Behavioral Health

Job Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM

Guaranteed Hours : 36 or 48 per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) and Psychiatric care

License : Valid Iowa RN license required

Certifications : Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult)

Must-Have :

Travel nursing experience required
Iowa SING background check (criminal portion and child abuse portion required)
Drug test with 10-panel screening, including opiates
Titers within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
Ability to float within a 25-mile radius

Job Description :

Provide compassionate and individualized care to adult patients aged 18-65 in a Behavioral Health Unit.

Manage a patient ratio of 1 : 6, focusing on those with anxiety, depression, manic disorders, borderline personality, and suicidal ideation.

Collaborate with a high-quality medical staff to deliver seamless care and support to patients and their families.

Contribute to the team by offering specialized knowledge in behavioral health.

Utilize MediTech EHR system for patient documentation and care coordination.

Participate in mandatory training and orientation activities.

Comply with all onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug testing.
