Position Summary: The Radiation Therapist works under the supervision of the Chief Radiation Therapist/Manager and is responsible for assisting the Radiation Oncologist in simulation process, delivering prescribed course of radiation to the patients and monitoring patients for progress and side affects.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
EXPERIENCE
- Two years previous experience as a radiation therapist preferred
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
- AART registered
- Maintain a current Iowa Permit to Practice Radiation Therapy, 24 hours continuing education in a 2-year period
- Current BCLS certification
