Position Summary: The Emergency Department Technician will work under close/general supervision by licensed personnel of the Emergency Department and will perform a variety of functions in support and care of patients requiring urgent or emergency care in an urgent care or emergency medical setting.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of an approved 75- or 120-hour nursing assistant program or an accredited emergency medical technician program with certification in Iowa or an accredited medical assistant program with credentialing by the American Association of Medical Assistants.
EXPERIENCE
- Prefer prior experience as a C.N.A., EMT, or CMA in an acute and/or clinic setting
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
- Current CNA certificate, or current Iowa EMT certification, or current National Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Current BLS certification or willing to obtain within 1 month of hire
