Job Title : Speech Language Pathologist

Description :
Under general supervision, will evaluate, diagnose, and recommend a treatment plan for communication disorders of speech and language.
Upon physician referral, performs evaluations of speech, hearing, and swallowing difficulties, makes a preliminary diagnosis, and develops treatment plans.
Determines the need for individual or group therapy for each client.
Documents client progress.
Assists students in clinical rotations in meeting objectives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of the normal development of speech, language, and hearing is required.
Ability to perform diagnostic tests for communication disorders and formulate a treatment plan.
Must be able to interact in a patient, encouraging manner with clients to understand their communication needs and assist them in achieving specific program goals.
Good interpersonal skills with customers, co-workers, and clients.
Must be able to display patience when client frustration levels are high.
