Position summary
We are seeking a Programmer Analyst who will play a vital role in developing and maintaining our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and SIS (Student Information System), supporting the university’s mission through innovative coding, database management, and web development.
The Programmer Analyst will design, develop, and maintain applications to support university operations, focusing on PHP, SQL, and database management. This role involves analyzing and enhancing business processes, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing web solutions using HTML/CSS and related web frameworks. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to teamwork and service.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain custom applications using PHP and SQL.
Design, implement, and manage databases to support university operations.
Build and enhance web applications and interfaces using HTML/CSS/JS and related web frameworks.
Collaborate with university stakeholders to analyze and improve business processes.
Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues.
Document system processes, configurations, and changes.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Proficiency in PHP programming and SQL database management.
Experience in web development.
Strong understanding of relational database design and maintenance.
Ability to analyze and develop business processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in higher education.
Familiarity with student information systems and other education-oriented technologies.
Educational requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
