What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Department Medical Director position at Ouachita County Medical Center?
Ouachita County Medical Center is looking for na Independent Contractor Medical Director to provide professional physician services in the Emeergency Department. The Medical Director will agree to:
- Board certified or have ATLS and Trauma specific CME's.
- A minimum of twelve(12) shifts of twelve(12) hours each on a monthly basis.
- Maintain and secure scheduling for Emergency Department physician shifts.
- Apply for and maintain membership on the Medical Staff of OCMC and participate on professional staff committees.
- Abide by all applicable laws, rules and regulations in performing the services under (but not limited to) Medicare and Medicaid laws, rules and regulations and the EMTALA laws and regulations.
- Maintain an unrestrictive DEA number and medical license to provide the services.
- Other duties and provisions outlined in the Emergency Department Medical Directors contract.
