Our Community Healthcare System is dedicated to providing high-quality preventive healthcare services to seniors and underserved communities. We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees.
Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle payroll for healthcare staff accurately and on time.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including wages, tax deductions, and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Process new hires, terminations, and payroll adjustments in coordination with HR.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries professionally.
- Generate payroll reports for management and assist with audits.
- Manage payroll-related benefits such as overtime, bonuses, and PTO accruals.
- Assist with year-end tax filings, W-2s, and 1099s.
- Stay informed on payroll laws and regulations affecting the healthcare industry.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3 years of payroll processing experience (healthcare industry preferred).
- Software: Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Skills: Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
