What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bids/Contracts Manager position at our company?
The Bids and Contracts Manager will oversee the organization of Vivacity Tech’s bidding on new government business and new purchasing contract relationships to catalyze business development success. This person will oversee the contract/bids specialist team and their work while also completing work on the bids and contract submission and documentation.
This is a hybrid position in Greenville, SC. You must be located in the Greenville, SC area. This position is NOT remote.

While no day will be completely the same, you will execute daily responsibilities in these various functions:
Supervisory Duties:
- Hire, train and develop team members towards successful performance in their roles
- Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback
- Create and monitor schedules and work times including approving and managing time cards
- Resolve employee issues and disputes, partnering with the P C team when necessary
- Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of all bid submissions and purchasing contract usage reporting
Essential Functions
- Develop, maintain, oversee, and enforce bids and purchasing contract processes;
- Review, evaluate, administer, and provide professional guidance on bids and contractual documents;
- Analyze and provide recommendations for corporate strategy on bids and purchasing contracts processes and targeted bids and purchasing contracts for success based on data;
- Oversee bidding and purchasing contract content strategy including gathering pricing information, relevant customer and device information, and bid success/lack of success to make recommendations;
- Ensure accuracy of and optimal strategy on all substantive bid and purchasing contract responsive materials and reporting;
- Maintain bid resources including but not limited to bid packet to enable the organization to respond to requests and bids with the input and assistance from other internal departments;
- Train internal stakeholders on bids and purchasing contracts processes and key attributes of existing agreements;
- Provide relevant information to internal stakeholders on the organization’s purchasing contract commitments and usage;
- Communicate with internal stakeholders on the relevant contents of bids (including delivery and timing commitments and other metrics) and purchasing contracts to enable organizational decision making and compliance;
- Create and assist with responsive bid packages by compiling quotes, required bid documents, Vivacity marketing and literature, and any additional required information

Education & Experience
- Minimum 1 years relevant experience required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
