Position Summary:
The Technical Operations (TechOps) Asset Management (AM) Clerk plays a pivotal role in supporting a customer-focused asset management team, aligned with the company’s vision. This team aims to deliver high-quality AM services through strategic partnerships with TechOps leadership and associates. The TechOps AM Clerk is responsible for tracking hardware ordering patterns, managing asset orders, returning assets to stock following the First In, First Out (FIFO) methodology, shipping and receiving assets, performing data destruction on all IT hardware, preparing items for sell-off, and handling IT recycling (E-recycling) in accordance with Rooms to Go approved data destruction policies and standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong critical thinking skills. The associate closely coordinates with IT management and support staff to ensure proper asset deployment, storage, and disposal. Additionally, they manage multiple simultaneous demands, deliver timely results, and meet all deadlines while demonstrating operational excellence through continual service improvement. The TechOps AM Clerk possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Responds to the organization’s changing business requirements and ensures the TechOps AM team maximizes value, by testing and shipping fully working hardware. This assists in reducing disruptions and decreasing re-work.
- Ensures the TechOps AM department consistently meets service level standards while increasing value on a periodic basis.
- Works efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce high quality material with meticulous attention to detail.
- Follows AM team policies, standards, process, and procedures.
- Maintains a professional working relationship with all IT users, IT staff, and external vendors.
- Conducts regular audits to ensure the accuracy of asset data physically and systematically in Service Now.
- Monitors inventory levels and orders new assets as needed.
- Performs biweekly inventory cycle counts.
- Keeps inventory storage areas organized and accessible.
- Follows the process of the disposal and recycling of obsolete or decommissioned IT assets following company policies and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- One or more (1 ) years shipping and receiving assets.
- One or more (1 ) years maintaining inventory.
- One or more (1 ) years using an inventory management tool for asset management.
- One or more (1 ) years maintaining and managing accurate records of inventory.
- Candidates should have knowledge of:
- Inventory Management processes and tools.
- IT Hardware (Peripherals, computers, network gear etc.)
