LOCATION: Hybrid, 2-3 days in Tempe Office
Job Description:
This role involves oversight and execution of marketing initiatives and projects, ensuring that all correspondence aligns with the broader marketing goals and objectives of the organization. This role will serve as a right-hand to the Chief of Staff/Head of Marketing and will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns, coordinating across the Marketing team and with cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes and drive the company’s growth. This role will also be responsible for the understanding and application of consumer insights. They will need to be a self-starter who excels in a fast pace, dynamic, and at-times ambiguous, start-up atmosphere, managing multiple complex projects, and fostering collaboration with and amongst internal teammates while being a team player. They will need to be agile with the ability to embrace change and foster new opportunities to grow the business. This is a leadership role with direct reports.
Core Responsibilities:
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute 360-degree marketing campaigns across multiple retail locations leveraging brand strategy, promotional strategy, and consumer insights to target key audiences, drive brand awareness, and attract and retain consumers online and in-store
- Own the customer feedback loop and process ensuring feedback is being measured, synthesized, and communicated in a timely manner further shaping marketing strategies and the customer experience
- Continuously monitor cannabis market trends and consumer behavior, using insights to refine marketing campaigns and maintain a competitive edge in the market with marketing plans and our owned brands
- Execute the planning process inclusive of marketing key initiatives related to seasonal campaigns and events, product launches, brand activations, and promotional campaigns to attract target customers and enhance brand positioning
- Build and manage (quarterly and monthly) marketing content calendars to support brand growth, retail promotions, customer engagement, and revenue goals
- Craft creative briefs and help to oversee the development of print, packaging, and digital marketing materials that support product launches, customer programs, retail promotions, and strengthen brand presence both online and in-store
- Oversee the management and development of promotional materials, including re-ordering materials and swag such as t-shirts, lanyards, etc. ensuring brand alignment and consistency
- Build and manage relationships with vendors and agencies acting as key point of contact and also serve as a marketing liaison to retail teams and affiliated departments
- Oversee the execution of on-site event activations and remain current on activation trends
- Assist in measuring and monitoring KPIs across all marketing channels and campaigns, and ensuring that all content is current and functioning while maximizing performance in order to drive traffic, brand awareness, and increase conversions
- Manage and provide guidance to a small internal Marketing department
- Other duties as delegated by leadership from time to time
Qualifications:
- 3 years experience managing an in-house marketing team and working with external partners
- 3 years experience in digital advertising and consumer analytics
- 4 years in a high-growth industry, CPG, retail or hospitality highly preferred
- Experience in the cannabis industry is highly preferred but not required
- Must 21 years of age
